VoiceBox, the Swansea based multimedia agency, has won the Technological & Innovative Business of the Year at the South Wales Business Awards.
With the South Wales tech sector booming, the Swansea start-up fought off competition from five other groundbreaking Welsh companies to secure the award.
Speaking of VoiceBox’s success, Marketing Manager, Ben Dobson, said: “It’s a real honour for us to be recognised for our innovation; particularly in such a strong field. The past twelve months has been the beginning of an incredible journey for us and we’re excited for our future.”
From their Swansea base, VoiceBox increases digital video engagement through their subtitle and voice over services. These services allow their clients, including the likes of Discovery, The Royal Navy and Ted Baker, to reach their widest possible audience.
“We’re living in an age where digital video content is ubiquitous” said Mr. Dobson. “From the 8 billion daily video views on Facebook to YouTube’s 60% growth year-upon-year - we’re all viewing more video content than ever before. VoiceBox’s services, in over 200 languages, allow video publishers to stand out from their competition and increase engagement by as much as 20 percent.”
Event organiser and owner of WS Marketing, Wesley Skene, added: "VoiceBox is an outstanding company that is truly on the cutting edge of innovative business in Wales. For our economy to move forward it is essential that Wales has businesses such as VoiceBox leading the way.”
The ninth annual South Wales Business Awards were held at The Bear Hotel, Cowbridge on Friday, 9th of September.
The Technological & Innovative Business award is VoiceBox’s third award this year, with their CEO, Anna Bastek, also winning awards at the Women in Business and Womenspire awards for the agency’s success.
