VoiceBox, the Swansea based multimedia agency, has won the coveted ‘Business Services – Business of the Year’ award at the South Wales Business Awards.
The tech-startup, which has now won its second successive South Wales Business Award, prevailed in a category that included seven of the region’s most acclaimed companies.
Speaking of VoiceBox’s success, Sales and Marketing Manager, Ben Dobson said: “This award is a testament to the whole team’s dedication to refining and redefining our processes over the past 12 months. Whilst we’re a tech company at heart, we’re also passionate believers in providing a very human bespoke-service to our clients.”
The past three years have seen VoiceBox successfully emulate their sister company, Wolfestone, with year-on-year growth. However, in addition to their revenue generation, Mr. Dobson feels that one of the things that makes VoiceBox stand out from their competition is their recruitment ethos: “One of our co-founders, Anna (Bastek) has always said hire for attitude and train for skills. I believe that it’s this philosophy, of ranking a positive attitude above experience or perceived skill level that has allowed our team culture and customer service to thrive.”
VoiceBox’s co-founder, and serial entrepreneur, Anna Bastek said: “I’m really proud of VoiceBox for winning a South Wales Business Award award for the second year running. We must be doing something right and the best testimony is our clients coming back to us every month. Customer service is not just a phrase for us, it’s our ethos.”
In addition to their core team, based in Swansea’s Urban Village, VoiceBox work with thousands of freelance providers around the world via their cloud based workflows. With their global client base in mind, Mr. Dobson feels that this is where their next challenges lie: “As our global client base grows, we’re always assessing how we can best serve these customers. Over the coming months and years, we certainly see sustainable international growth as our objective.”
Held at The Bear Hotel in Cowbridge, the South Wales Business Awards have become synonymous with business excellence in the region. Previous winners include Bafta winning games creator, Wales Interactive and Swansea based translation pioneer, Wolfestone.
