On July 23, we’re delighted to announce that VoiceBox general manager Sim Johnston will be racing in this year’s UCI BMX World Championships.
The competition, being held this year at Belgium’s Circuit Zolder, will play host to the crème de la crème of the BMX world. Winners of their respective categories will take home the iconic rainbow jersey, a prize as coveted in the world of BMX as the Tour de France’s yellow jersey is in cycling circles.
Stepping up for the BMX World Championships
With 74 racers from 20 countries in Sim’s category, the competition will be fierce. But he’s up for the challenge.
“I genuinely can’t wait to get out there,” he says. “Qualifying was tough enough, but this will be in a league of its own. I was knocked out in the quarter finals in the 2015 World Championships and came within touching distance of the semis. But this time round, I’m adamant on taking that one step further.”
Here in the office, we’re sure he will. To support him in his preparations, we’re keeping him fed, watered and away from our chocolate cabinet.
Supporting Sim every step of the way
We’ve also promised that we’ll be following his progress every step of the way through the official online stream. You, too, can do the same. Simply keep a close eye on the official website for the World Championship’s here.
On behalf of the VoiceBox team, we’d like to wish Sim all the luck in the world, though we know he won’t need it.
Send Sim your best wishes by emailing sim@voiceboxagency.co.uk or give him a call on 01792 450979.
